Ecliptic Divinity

The eternal heavens gaze down upon the human struggle, where earthly gifts become celestial currency and the gods pass their judgment. Deep within the thickets of the jungle begins the quest for the eternal ascent of each chosen one of the gods. Following the starlight that steers the fate of the treasure hunters, a cyclical dance of power and scarcity unfolds. Against time, creatures, other players and against the self-inflicted shadows of their own souls, everyone fights bravely until the end. The ritual riches are an apocryphal path to the heavenly home, which remains open only to the victor.

Divine Cults

To fulfill the divine mandate means taking constant steps into the wild expanses of the world, whose gifts are scarce and fiercely contested. The valiant heroes are drawn to various sources, wresting the required goods from the earth’s interior, the dense greenery or the damp moisture with a variety of tools, while every action carries a certain risk. The simple interaction of gathering conceals the high intensity of survival pressure, for from source to sanctuary, every cargo becomes a perilous mission.

Mana is the player’s life-breath – an invisible and mighty essence. This life-breath ebbs or flows with every unleashed action, thus becoming the dancing metronome for success and existence itself. Upon the complete depletion of the mana pool, the hero falls abruptly into a slumbering stasis, where only the respective deity possesses the power to renew the lost strength. Whoever is the first to offer the sacred amount of their cultural sacrificial goods in their base will be enraptured by the pantheon, brought heavenward as a victor and experience a moment of imperishable bliss.

Divine Cycles

The cosmic credo of the deities is written in the stars, for every celestial house harbors a mighty myth that periodically shapes and transforms the world. The star clock, an archaic-looking apparatus, measures the flowing phases of the eclipse and displays the divine favor in an unequivocally readable manner. Thus, deities from the Mayan cult demand consecrated fish and precious moisture, while the Aztec divinities claim the heart-pieces of their prey, the Egyptians sacred metals from the earth’s depths and the Sumerians rare essences of the flora. Cycle by cycle, the circular display of divine dominance begins and culminates in the moment of sudden omnipotence when one’s own constellation reaches its zenith. The constellations are treacherous transformers that suddenly raise sea levels, turn sand into raging storms or tear the earth into new paths – a synergy of threat and natural force that constantly challenges the players’ strategy anew.
